Activity Learning ("AL") Application for Real-Time Generalizable Activity Recognition

Unmet Need: Sensor Data Recognition and Analysis

Strained care providers and an increasing elderly population need additional non-invasive human behavior analysis and intervention to increase independence and autonomy of individuals with decreased memory and mental capacity.

The Technology: Activity Learning ("AL") Application

AL provides improved activity recognition using mobile device sensor data and machine learning.  It runs on iOS and Android platforms, automatically labels collected data, and can produce time usage reports.  AL includes optional user labeling and configuration of data collection schedules.

Applications:

  • Adult Care Facilities/Remote Care givers
  • Smart Homes

Advantages:

  • Free human providers to focus on non-routine tasks
  • Increase autonomy of reduced-capacity individuals
