Desktop Learning Modules for Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer The Desktop Learning Module (DLMX) is a powerful new hands-­‐on educational system that will enable instructors to transform traditional  lecture-­‐centered classrooms to include hands-­‐on active learning pedagogy. These enhanced interactive environments revolve around miniaturized industrial fluid mechanics and heat transfer equipment. A Base Unit provides a fluid reservoir and digital readouts of temperatures, differential pressures, and flow  rates.  The  Base  Unit is compatible with a range of snap-­‐in  cartridges designed to communicate engineering concepts and principles to students. The DLMX may also find use in the laboratory.
